This was a really relaxed, slow run. Six days off from running !!! It's just been a shit-week, where all plans I had was rolled over by external events. And motivation hit rock-bottom ! But there is World Metal Run Marathon, that is planned for tomorrow – June 26'th. So I had to at least do some sort of "Activation Run" before engaging in a marathon-distance. The run today showed I have a problem, because even if I ran really slow and relaxed and even walked some 2 x 30 sek during the run (lowering my heart rate), my recovery is 36 hours !!! From the start of the run, my heart rate was 5-6 beats higher than normal, for the same effort. Thats insane. Yes some is due to the high temperature, but anyway… Tomorrow is going to be even hotter and with high humidity, and I am not in a satisfactory marathon form. Yes I can actually postpone the race, doing it virtually, but in my calendar I cannot run it ealier than Juli 10'th. Then I have some time to get a grip on my running form. And I can do the halfmarathon Letting Run on this tuesday 28'th, without "killing myself" on a marathon right before. Sounds like a viable plan.
